Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R4000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Guests are required to obtain an entry and exit permit at the estate entrance and return it upon departure. A public launch site is available on the estate.

The lodge uses borehole water, which contains a high iron content. It is not recommended for drinking unless boiled, though it is safe for use in the pool, showers, and jacuzzi.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the lodge, though it is limited. Additional data can be purchased through Vodacom Mozambique, with assistance from the permanent staff for loading the data onto the router.

Due to the remote location, power surges and blackouts may occur and can affect appliances. Maintenance and repairs may take longer due to the lodge’s location, though staff strive to provide prompt service.

Guests are asked to communicate with the staff regarding start and leaving times, security, and locking of the chalets. Staff are available practically 24 hours a day, living nearby, and can be contacted via Walkie Talkie if needed. There is a compulsory staff tip. R70 per day payable in cash for the housekeeper and R50 per day for the gardener. This includes your day of arrival and departure.

Insects, mosquitoes, and other wildlife such as monkeys and snakes are common. All doors should remain closed when leaving the rooms.

A 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property due to sandy roads. The swimming pool has no safety features, and use of the pool and associated amenities is strictly at guests’ own risk.

Guests should bring beach towels, food and drinks, toiletries, and beach equipment.

A staff tip is required for the housekeeper and gardener, which covers all days including arrival and departure.

A refundable breakage deposit is payable prior to arrival and refunded after departure.

Late check-out is available on request, subject to incoming bookings.

No pets are permitted, and loud music, parties, and events are not allowed. Estate rules set a noise cut-off at 10:30 pm, and failure to adhere to these rules may result in retention of the breakage deposit.

Should the property be booked by a group of youngsters, guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or adult supervisor.
