Description

Blesfontein Guest Farm is situated 28 km from Sutherland on top of the escarpment of the Roggeveld mountains. Blesfontein Guest Farm offers game viewing on horseback, game drives, a farm dam to swim, occasional snow in winter and flowers like Namaqualand in spring time.

The guest farm has 10 unique self-catering units which used to be old buildings on the farm. The stone units are all basic but offer the necessary facilities and amenities for self-catering. Some units have communal kitchens but each unit has its own bathroom and most have an indoor fireplace or a braai outside. Each unit has been categorised to suit all individual travellers needs.

Dinner and breakfast are served on prior arrangement. At night, visitors have the option to go stargazing in the armature observatory. During the day the freedom of the farm is to be enjoyed. Guests can bring their own 4x4 or hire the guest farms to take a scenic drive to the view point at the escarpment. Here guests may see blesbuck, zebra, springbuck, grey reedbuck, steenbok and black wildebeest, not to mention the meerkat family, the tortoises, the skunks and several bird species.
