Description

Botuin offers self-catering cottage accommodation set on a 5-hectare working olive farm on the outskirts of Vanrhynsdorp, at the foot of the Maskam Mountains. The Troe-Troe river runs through the grounds; it is normally dry but in winter gets the occasional flooding which is something spectacular to witness. The tranquility and peaceful setting is ideal to fully unwind and relax.

Botuin offers 3 cottages, all of which are open-plan units. Kalamata Cottage has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Mission Cottage has a double bed and Frantoio Cottage has two single beds as well as a double bed in an extra room. Please note that Frantoio is more suitable for a family and not for 2 couples. All the cottages are fully equipped with DStv, air-conditioning and private braai-facilities. The interiors are stylishly decorated with hand-crafted wooden furniture. Botuin provides the little extras, including crispy cotton-percale linen, a coffee station with plunger, and warm hospitality.

On-site facilities include a swimming pool, a braai area, Wi-Fi and secure parking. Botuin is a pet-friendly as well as bird-friendly establishment and there is a Namaqua warbler resident in the garden.

Botuin has approximately 400 olive trees on the farm including frantoio, mission and kalamata varieties. Extra virgin olive oil and table olives are available for a reasonable price.
