Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R6000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Please keep valuables such as mobile phones, cameras, laptops and other electronic devices stored safely and out of sight.
No interference with Cyferfontein’s security personnel or protocols is permitted.
Any attempt to influence or bribe security staff will not be tolerated.
A maximum of 8 adults and 8 children is permitted. Children over the age of 11 are considered adults.
No day visitors are allowed unless pre-approved by the lodge owner.
Buffalo Game Lodge observes a strict low-noise and no-music policy, which applies 24 hours a day.
Music and sound systems may not be used outdoors.
Parties and events, including bachelor parties or year-end functions, are not permitted. Violations may result in fines or eviction without refund.
Quiet hours are observed from 22:00 to 07:00. No loud music, shouting, singing, car hooting or engine revving is allowed at any time.
Please do not leave valuables unattended or visible inside the lodge.
Always ensure that doors and windows are closed when leaving the lodge to prevent intrusion or damage by wildlife.
Fires may only be made in designated braai areas. Ensure all fires are fully extinguished after use.
Refuse must be disposed of in the bins provided and kept secured at all times.
Only approved green game-viewing vehicles may be used for game drives.
Adhere to all No Entry signs on the reserve.
The speed limit is 25 km/h throughout the reserve.
All drivers must hold a valid driver’s licence.
Vehicles must remain on demarcated roads at all times. Off-road driving is not permitted.
Riverbeds may not be entered or crossed unless signposted as a thoroughfare.
Spotlights may not be used near houses. If used further afield, red filters must be applied.
Do not feed wildlife under any circumstances.
Wildlife has right of way, please observe from a safe distance.
Hunting, capturing, fishing or harming animals is strictly prohibited.
Do not remove or damage any plants, trees or natural elements. Firewood may not be collected from the bush.
Walking or cycling is not recommended and is done at your own risk.
No domestic animals or pets are allowed.
Firearms are not permitted on the reserve.
Swimming is only allowed in the lodge's private pool. Swimming in dams or rivers is prohibited.
Children must be supervised at all times.
No quad bikes or motorbikes are allowed.
The use of floodlights and spotlights at lodges is not permitted.
Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
A game-viewing vehicle is available for hire at an additional fee per day (includes fuel).
Four bags of firewood are provided. Additional firewood is available on request at an extra charge.
The heated swimming pool must be requested at least 3 days prior to arrival. A once-off heating fee applies for the duration of your stay.
