Description

Buffalo Thorn Lodge is located in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, 30 km from Sun City in the North West Province. The reserve is a Big Five, malaria-free area connected to the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.

The lodge accommodates 10 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms, each furnished with a king-size bed. Two of the chalets include loft rooms. Each chalet has an outdoor shower, a bar fridge, and a sun deck.

The central area includes a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge, a TV with DStv, a pool table, a gym, a deck with a swimming pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi, a boma, a braai area, and a hide. Guests have the use of a private game ranger and vehicle for game drives. The lodge is secured with an electrified perimeter fence.

The Black Rhino Game Reserve covers 1800 hectares with full access to the 55,000-hectare Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. Sun City, 30 km away, offers shops and activities such as hot-air ballooning, archery, and quad biking.
