Disappointing. Whilst the room was clean and tidy, the hotel itself was very run down and unkempt. There is no evidence of paint upkeep or upkeep of the facilities. We were saddened by the state of the hotel. We remember it to be of 5-star value; our stay was of 1-star value. We were not even able to order a cappuccino as the coffee machine was broken. Very disappointing! Extremely disappointing to see the hotel in such a state of disrepair and neglect. It didn't just lack maintenance, but the litter in the hotel gardens and the state of the gardens was sad to see, with trees just cut down and left where they fell, and basic removal of weeds not done. We had a great stay. We struck a great repour with Takalani. The remainder of the staff was also courteous and friendly. The disappointment was the spa was closed and we weren't advised at all. Peaceful getaway after a long year. Ideal place for an annual getaway for us, a whole week of rest and good food. Off season, not too busy with quiet restaurant, bar and spa on request.
