Cottage 2 @ African Olive Country Estate is a charming self-catering unit situated on a working farm, which also serves as the gateway to the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. The estate is located just 1 km from Parys on a tarred road, close enough for guests to enjoy the town’s attractions while still offering a peaceful country setting.

The cottage can accommodate 2 guests and is tastefully furnished with a queen-size bed. It has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and bidet toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The dining area features a 4-seater dining table and leads into the lounge, which is furnished with a comfortable couch and wingback chairs. A TV with OpenView channels is available in the bedroom, and guests are welcome to bring their own DStv decoder, card, and remote to connect to the system.

The lounge is fitted with a cosy fireplace, perfect for chilly evenings, and guests are encouraged to bring their own firewood, red wine, and marshmallows. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available.

The cottage opens onto a patio with views of the Dome landscape and is equipped with a Weber braai. Additional braai facilities are available at the communal lapa, and guests can also enjoy the use of the shared swimming pool. It is not unusual to see goats ambling by, Olie the ostrich, or wild geese while relaxing on the patio. Please note that this is a working farm and not a resort, and no entertainment facilities are provided.
