Exactly what we needed and more. Amazing stay, isolated and away from the city life. Perfect place for my fiancé and me to reset and have our dog roam around freely on the property.

Outstanding. We enjoyed it so much this weekend, it was everything we needed. Our 8 year old daughter had so much fun playing in the dam and in the mud with our 2 Yorkies. We as parents sat quietly and tried to catch some fish, haha. It was a really lovely place, we are already booking our next weekends to De Poort.

Can't wait to go again! We had the most amazing stay with my partner and 3 teenagers. One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have been to. There is so much to do and the hot tub was amazing. Also a very short drive to Struisbaai or Bredasdorp if you need anything. I am booking my next stay there ASAP. The photos don't do the place justice. It is absolutely magical!

We enjoyed it so much that we want to buy the house! We enjoyed it so much and relaxed away from the busy city life and rush. The goat that came to drink at the dam next to the house was a bonus. The Jacuzzi was wonderful! The baboons gave us a show! Unfortunately could not catch a fish, maybe carp and barb are also in the dam? The bass were terribly shy!

Relaxing family getaway. Being out in nature was so refreshing and energising for the soul. Lovely walking trails. Plenty of animal sounds and sightings, with the fresh air blowing over the dam was just amazing. Jacuzzi nights with the sun setting were breathtakingly beautiful. No car noises and absolutely no neighbours was an added bonus. Outdoor life at its best. WiFi and signal were very slow at first but a reboot halfway in seemed to do the trick. The chalet has the basic things needed, basic farm-style decor, missed a toaster and microwave only because my 6-year-old is a fussy eater, so had to make use of the gas stove. However, the beds are by far the most comfortable from any other place we stayed, 5-star accommodation included. Best sleep I have had in years. Guess everyone agreed as sleep-ins were a regular occurrence. Would recommend to anyone, definitely worth the cost.

Peaceful, secluded - amazing venue. It is an amazing location and a perfect venue to unwind undisturbed. The interior, especially the kitchen area, fridge, and couches, needs a bit of an update as everything is a bit tired. We struggled at first to get hot water to the showers, but once we got the hang of it - lovely hot water - perhaps simple instructions to get going?
