Situated in Graaff-Reinet, De Wingerd offers guests lovely rooms in a Karoo-Victorian style home from the 1840s and is just 750 m from various restaurants.

A National Monument, the guesthouse also has a lovely vineyard stretching the length of the house and is the second oldest in town. Guests have a choice of air-conditioned rooms that can sleep between 2 to 4 people and is furnished with queen-size beds, 2 single beds and bunk beds. Each of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom with showers or baths, and for convenience, linen, electric blankets, bath towels and bathroom amenities, are provided.

The rooms are fitted with TVs with selected DStv channels, free internet access, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and bottled water. Guests have use of a communal kitchen, and breakfast can be enjoyed at any of the nearby restaurants.

The guesthouse can cool down in the swimming pool, make use of the braai facilities, and secure parking is available.

Graaff-Reinet is rich in history and offers various National Monuments and museums, Hester Rupert Art Museum, Graaff Reinet Museum, Military History Museum, Great Fish River Museum, for guests to visit. The area offers walking trails in the Camdeboo National Park as well as 4x4 trails, fishing, canoeing, and boating at Nqweba Dam, and visitors can also take a drive and view the Valley of Desolation.
