Die Kussinkie offers self-catering accommodation in the quiet residential area of Hospital Hill, 2 km from the town centre of Beaufort West with safe parking behind palisades. Beaufort West lies in the heart of the Great Karoo and is the ideal spot in which to explore this arid area.

Accommodation is offered in 3 units with separate entrances. Unit 1 and 2 contains a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed, a living area, and a bathroom fitted with a shower. The units are equipped with air-conditioning, a microwave, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, rusks and DStv. Outdoor braai facilities are also provided for Units 2 and 3. Restaurants and other eateries can be found in the town centre, approximately 2 km from Die Kussinkie, and the Karoo National Park is less than 30 minutes away.

Unit 3 can accommodate families with children or guests who prefer single beds. The unit consists of a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom fitted with a shower.

Beaufort West is one of the few towns the N1 runs through and is the oldest town in the Central Karoo. Famous heart surgeon Professor Chris Barnard is honoured in the local museum. He grew up in Beaufort West, and his father was a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church. Beaufort West attractions include the Beaufort West Museum, Christian Barnard Museum, Donkey Cart Tours, and the Karoo Nuweveld 4x4 Trail. Bergplaats Game Reserve is located nearby and offers game viewing, horse-back safaris, and mountain bike trails.
