Description

The Butterfly Villa Suites are located in Pringle Bay in the Overberg region, within the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere. The property is a 500 m walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops, and offers panoramic views over the ocean, village and False Bay. The 2 private self-catering Suites occupy the 207-square-metre ground floor of the private villa and operate 90% off-grid using solar power.

The Family Suite accommodates 6 guests in 3 bedrooms, with an additional double sleeper couch in the lounge for 2 more guests. It has 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor fireplace, and an open-plan living area with a dining room table. The large outdoor patio has spectacular views over the Kogelberg mountains and the ocean and features a 10-person Jacuzzi, large fire pit, al-fresco lounge, exterior blinds and a gas braai/bbq.

The Glass Suite sleeps 2 adults and 1 child or 2 small children. It comprises one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and 2 pop-out mattresses on the floor, a compact kitchenette, and a private deck with a Jacuzzi, exterior blinds, and spectacular ocean and mountain views, even from bed.

Both Suites can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests, plus 2 additional guests on the sleeper couch, subject to availability.

On-site amenities include 2 private Jacuzzis, Wi-Fi, premium TV channels, a large outdoor fire pit, a gas braai/bbq, outdoor blinds, filtered water, a washer-dryer and secure off-street parking for up to 6 vehicles. The Suites are pet-friendly by prior arrangement and are wheelchair-accessible with wide passages and one small step at the entrance.

An electric fence surrounding the property ensures the baboons stay at a safe distance. Smoke and security alarm systems are installed. The top floor of the villa is reserved for private use.

Local attractions include Blue Flag beaches, the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, the Stony Point Penguin Colony, and seasonal whale watching. Activities in the area include hiking, sand-boarding, kayaking, surfing, swimming, and cycling.
