Description

Driekwartblou Guesthouse is situated on a working farm with a spectacular 180-degree view over the Gariep Dam. Located next to the Oviston Nature Reserve, guests can even spot wildlife from their private patio. The guesthouse is about 30 km from the N1 highway, with a 1.8 km gravel road leading from the main gate to the accommodation.

Accommodation is offered in 4 modern en-suite units, each equipped with air conditioning and DStv. The guesthouse is powered by solar energy, ensuring it is not affected by load-shedding.

Meals are available on request during the week and, weather permitting, can be served on the private patio. No meals are served on Sundays. Two of the units are fully equipped with self-catering facilities, and braai facilities are also available. Unit 4 offers basic self-catering amenities, including a fridge, kettle, and microwave, as well as access to braai facilities. This unit is perfect for guests who prefer to prepare light meals themselves but do not wish to make use of the provided meal options.

Free Wi-Fi is available, and there is generally good cell phone reception, making mobile data use possible.

Guests can start their day by watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee and complimentary homemade rusks.

In summer, guests can cool off in the farm dam, and there are marked hiking trails to explore. Guided walks can also be arranged. Cyclists are welcome to tackle the trails with their mountain bikes. The farm is a popular spot for stargazing and birdwatching.
