Excellent. Easter weekend. We had a fantastic stay at Flamingo’s Rest over the Easter weekend. The property is beautiful with great views, and the pizza oven was such a fun and unexpected bonus that added to the experience. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable getaway, and the hosts were absolutely excellent, quick to respond to any queries (usually within minutes), which made everything so smooth and easy. A special thank you to Anneke, who even took us out to pump prawn and bloodworm, such a thoughtful and personal touch that made our stay extra memorable. If we had to make one small suggestion, it would be to improve the lighting in two of the rooms. But overall, the place was wonderful, and we would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

Incredible weekend! We had a wonderful time at Flamingo's Rest! The accommodations were neat, comfortable, and perfect for our two families with five children (5, 7, 10, 10, 13). It would be hard to beat—right on the river and safe for the kids to play, fish, swim, and collect beautiful pansy shells. Favourite place to stay on the Breede. We had the most magical stay. The house is situated on the water, but it never gets very deep, so it's safe for small kids. The garden is beautifully protected from the wind, so you can enjoy being outside all the time. The house was recently renovated and has enough rooms and bathrooms for big families, as well as great communal areas to come together.
