Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R2000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Guests are provided with a starter pack on the day of arrival, including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water, basic cleaning products, and bathroom amenities. These items are not replenished during the stay.

A sufficient number of prepaid electricity units are supplied to cover the duration of the stay. Excessive use of air-conditioning or heating may deplete these units more quickly, and any additional electricity usage will be at the guest’s expense. Usage is capped at the apartment’s average consumption rate.

South Africa may experience load shedding, which can cause temporary power outages. Guests are advised to download a load-shedding schedule app to plan accordingly. While inverter systems, generators, and UPS systems are in place, the property owner cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by prolonged load shedding.

Guests must bring their own login credentials for services such as DStv, Netflix, or Amazon Prime, as not all apartments provide access.

This is a self-catering apartment and is not serviced during the stay. Additional cleaning or linen changes can be arranged with the host at an extra cost. For stays longer than seven nights, a complimentary weekly refresh and linen change are included. The cleaning fee included in the booking covers departure cleaning only.

Unacceptable behavior, including loud noise or music, will not be tolerated. The property is in a residential area, and non-compliance may result in immediate eviction without refund.

Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused by their group, excluding reasonable wear and tear. The property should be cared for and left clean and tidy at departure. Only guests named in the booking agreement may occupy the property.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. Any breach may result in immediate eviction without refund and potential withholding of the security deposit.

Alcohol may not be consumed in communal areas.

Children are welcome but remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians. The property owner accepts no liability for injuries on the premises.

Only registered guests may enter the property, and overnight guests may not exceed the maximum stated in the booking. Breaching this rule may result in eviction without refund and possible withholding of the security deposit. International plugs or converters are not provided; guests must bring their own.

Renovations in neighbouring units may occur during working hours without prior notice. Furnishings, window coverings, kitchen utensils, and appliances may vary between apartments at the owner’s discretion.

Outdoor furniture may be stored indoors during strong winds, and guests are welcome to use it when conditions allow. Strong winds may occasionally cause odours or whistling sounds; persistent issues should be reported to the host. Noise from nearby restaurants or pubs may sometimes be heard.

Guests unsure about the apartment’s size should confirm with the host.

In-person check-ins after 19:00 incur an additional fee of R500.00.

Airport shuttles can be arranged at an extra cost.

Any issues or concerns should be reported on the day of arrival so the host can address them promptly.
