Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R500 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, please observe the following rules and regulations at all times.

Check-in time is 14:00.
Check-out time is 10:00.

If a guest arrives early or departs late without prior arrangements, a fee of R100.00 per hour will be charged or deducted from the breakage deposit.

A small pet is allowed if arranged in advance and includes an additional pet fee of R200.00. The pet must be on a leash at all times due to the presence of wildlife in the area. Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture and must have their own pet bed.

Smoking is not allowed inside the unit. Please use the ashtrays provided outside and ensure that cigarette butts are not discarded in the veld.

Fires are only permitted in the designated braai area. Please make sure all fires are fully extinguished after use.

Guests who disregard the rules, behave inappropriately, or ignore notices will be asked to leave.

Use of facilities is at the guest’s own risk.

The owner reserves the right to ask guests to leave if they intentionally damage property, trees, or plants.

The plunge pool and swimming pool are not fenced. Guests use these facilities at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

No alcohol, glass, or food is allowed in the swimming pools.

Vehicles are not allowed on the grass around the pool and may not park or drive over paved or walking areas.

Only one covered parking bay is provided per accommodation unit. Vehicles may not park on the grass in front of the units, on walking paths, or on the grass around the pool.

Motorcycles, quad bikes, electric scooters, drones, and fireworks are not allowed.

Please drive carefully and adhere to the 20 km/h speed limit. Private vehicles are not allowed near the main house.

Only day visitors with prior arrangements are allowed. Day visitors are regarded as additional bookings and are subject to a daily additional fee per person, up to a maximum of 2 people. An additional vehicle fee applies. Arrangements and payment must be made with the owner in advance.

Feeding wild animals is strictly prohibited.

No fireworks are allowed on the property.

Guests must switch off all lights and air conditioners, lock the unit, and leave the keys in the door upon departure. If doors are left open due to negligence and items are lost or damaged, the guest will be held responsible for compensation.

Any damage will be deducted from the breakage deposit, and if the damage exceeds the deposit amount, the guest will have to pay the difference.

An additional breakage deposit of R500.00 is payable. Please send proof of payment with LS reference number and name via WhatsApp. The breakage deposit will be refunded within 7 working days after departure. The form in the unit must be fully completed in order for the deposit to be refunded. Any damages will be deducted from the deposit.

Please note that access to Jakkelsroep requires driving approximately 12 km on a gravel road, which may not be suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
