Die Karoo is trots Suid-Afrikaans! 'n Absolute juweel. Joel is 'n ware "mensch". Hy het 'n absolute passie vir die omgewing en bewaring. Hy het so mooi na ons gekyk, en is 'n skatkis van inligting oor die omgewing - en wat 'n pragtige omgewing. Ons wou nie terugkeer huis toe nie.

‘n Uitsonderlike belewenis. Die tyd in Joel se kothuis was een van die heel lekkerste wegkomkanse wat ek nog ooit gehad het. Die berge omvou 'n mens. Die bergwater is heerlik. Die swempoel voortreflik. Joel se vindingrykheid is oral te sien. Ons gaan beslis weer daarheen. En dan die bonus: ‘n enorme donderstorm vroegoggend wat ons vasgenael gehou het om te sien hoe die klowe en kranse verlig word.

A few days of magic! Magical. A slice of heaven on a hill. Joel is the perfect host and his little off the grid cabin is everything and more. Gorgeous braai area overlooking the Swartberg, magnificent mountain water pool and glorious outdoor bathroom. Be sure to hike up the mountain to appreciate where you are, enjoy the swing while game spotting, fill your glass with the amazing tap water and climb the small hill to watch the sunset. Superb!
