Karoo Khaya is a small holding within walking distance of the centre of the wonderful town of Prince Albert. Pete and Megan would like you to feel that this is a relaxing home away from home. Share our passion for the Karoo and our property. There are no streetlights or town noises to spoil that special Karoo tranquillity.

Karoo Khaya has 4 cottages set in a peaceful garden with a rock plunge pool and waterfall. There is a boma with braai facilities, and wood and braai equipment are supplied. The cottages are decorated with a touch of the old Karoo. Special care has been taken to give you home-from-home comforts – comfy beds, quality linen and rustic little touches. Each room also has a file containing all the information you’ll need about Prince Albert and its surroundings. The cottages are serviced every day and Wi-Fi is available.

Mattresses are available in all of the rooms for small children, at no charge. A full Karoo breakfast served at our home is optional at an additional fee per person. Jams, preserves, smoked olives and olive oil – all made on the property – are available for sale in the rooms.

There is a guest lounge with DStv and an extensive library that overlooks the garden and expansive vistas of mountains and distant hills. Feel free to wander around and pick your veggies for supper. Kids will love the farm animals and are welcome to help feed them.
