Description

Kathu Lodge is located in an upmarket suburb of Kathu between Kuruman and Upington. This Northern Cape guesthouse is well known to mining companies and consultants visiting the Iron Ore and Manganese Mines. Adventure tourists going off-road or camping find us central traveling into the Kalahari or en-route to Botswana. We also do walk-in overnight accommodation for N14 travelers being an ideal halfway stop between Gauteng and the Diamond Coast / West Coast.

Solar has been installed on the premises. Guests can enjoy a hot shower, lights and Wi-Fi with no interruption from loadshedding. There are also emergency plugs in every room so charging your laptop or cellphone will not be an issue anymore.

Accommodation comprises 5 standard rooms and 2 double-room family units. Guests on the go can enjoy delicious pre-packed meals or our self-catering option. Our family units have fully equipped kitchens and cater to large families. All guests have luxury en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, DStv, braai facilities, and access to the swimming pool area. The lodge has laundry facilities, rooms serviced daily, and secure parking on the premises with a height restriction of 2.2 m.

Famous attractions in the area include the Kalahari Golf Club with a gym and heated pool, the Wonderwerk Cave, Tswalo Game Reserve, Molopo Nature Reserve, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, and the Witsand Roaring Dunes.
