Klein Nektar is a boutique 3-hectare wine and olive estate that is situated in the heart of Montagu on the well-known Route 62 through the Klein Karoo. The estate is nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and forms part of one of Montagu’s most cherished “town-farms.” A working farm lifestyle is offered, where handcrafted wines and cold-pressed olive oil are produced. Two distinct self-catering units are offered on the farm, each carefully designed to provide comfort, privacy, and scenic views of the surrounding landscape.

The Olive Pod is set among olive trees and has been designed as a modern, minimalist hideaway for 2 guests. A queen-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding is provided, along with an indoor fireplace, a Nespresso machine, and luxury amenities such as plush bathrobes. Guests are able to enjoy a private hot tub with mountain views, a Weber gas braai, and a fire pit, creating an ideal space for relaxing and unwinding. This eco-conscious unit offers an exclusive retreat for couples or solo travellers who wish to enjoy the slower pace of the Klein Karoo.

The Farm Cottage is located between the farm’s vineyards and olive groves, and offers an off-grid, 2-bedroom unit for up to 4 guests. The cottage features an open-plan living and dining area with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and solar-powered lighting throughout. A wood-fired hot tub with sweeping views of the mountains is available for guests to enjoy, along with a shaded wraparound verandah and private braai facilities. The setting allows for uninterrupted relaxation in a secluded, rural environment.

Klein Nektar is positioned within 300 m of Montagu’s restaurants, cafés, and shops, yet offers a peaceful atmosphere that feels removed from the bustle of town. The property is known for its rich heritage and connection to the Robertson Wine Valley, and is regarded as a must-visit stop along Route 62. The estate is owner-run, and guests are welcomed to experience the tranquillity, beauty, and natural rhythm of this unique part of the Klein Karoo.
