Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
A standard key and breakage deposit is required before or at check-in. The holding amount depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be adjusted at the discretion of the owner or management.
The deposit is processed via a secure link using a credit card. This is a preauthorisation only, with no actual deduction made, and the held amount is released within 14 days after checkout, provided no claims have been reported. The hold may appear on the guest’s bank statement, temporarily reducing the available balance. Once released, the available balance will reflect the full amount again.
If a credit card is not available for the holding deposit, the deposit must be paid via EFT and must reflect in the account before arrival. In such cases, guests will be required to provide a bank confirmation letter to enable the refund to be processed.
If neither of the above options is used, a refundable cash or debit card payment must be made before check-in can be completed. A minimum processing fee of R150 will apply to refund the deposit, which will be returned via EFT. No cash refunds will be issued.
Deposits are refunded within 14 days after checkout, provided the apartment is left in good order.
The holding deposit covers incidentals such as but not limited to lost or broken keys, property damage, stained or excessively soiled linen, an unreasonably dirty apartment, noise complaints, or any breach of house rules.
All guests are personally met to complete the check-in process. Check-ins are scheduled by the hour in advance on a first come first served basis between 14:00 and 18:00. As multiple properties are managed and the team is not based on site, accommodating specific preferred times may not always be possible. However, every effort will be made to meet guest preferences. An additional fee is payable upon arrival for check-ins after 18:00, before keys are handed over.
The original credit card used to make the reservation, along with positive identification of the cardholder, must be presented upon check-in.
No keys will be handed over without these requirements being met.
