Description
Syringa Sands Rest Camp is situated on the Kransberg plateau in the malaria-free Waterberg in Limpopo. The accommodation is halfway between Vaalwater and Thabazimbi, 38 km from the Marakele National Park gate and 14 km from the Welgevonden South Gate.
The upgraded Rest Camp is off-grid and offers a spectacular place to camp, it also has 2 neat bedrooms. Guests are required to supply their own linen, blankets and towels. Guests can make use of a kitchenette with a two-plate gas stove and solar lighting, lapa and ablutions. When booking the Rest Camp, guests reserve the entire Rest Camp including the two bedrooms.
Due to the remote location, the rest Camp is only suitable for off road caravans, off road trailers and roof top tents, a high clearance vehicle is a requirement; a high clearance 4x4 is recommended.
The site allows for great sunsets, good bird watching and game viewing. Wildlife, including zebra, impala, bushbuck and giraffe, roam this area freely and the nearby wetlands are a haven for a variety of birdlife with kingfishers being regular summer visitors. Activities include a demarcated walking trail from the bridge, the dam offers some nice beginners bass fishing, swimming and boating. Explore the farm on foot or mountain bike, game drives are available on request. Join us and switch off - no connectivity at the campsite.
