Wonderful easy getaway. We have been to "The Barnard's Barnyard" three times with friends. It is always nice, easy to get to and peaceful. We will definitely go again. Thank you very much for everything.

The perfect place to unplug and soak in nature. We recently spent a weekend at Barnard's Barnyard and had such a wonderful, tranquil experience! It’s the perfect spot to unplug and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. The kids absolutely loved seeing the ducks, springboks, and roosters, and one of the highlights was taking a canoe across the dam — such a fun and unique experience! The pool and trampoline kept the little ones entertained for hours, and the evenings were well spent gathered around the fire pit, braaing under the stars. The jacuzzi was a lovely touch for some added relaxation too. If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to expand the outdoor play area with perhaps a jungle gym or a few more swings — the kids would love that! Perfect place to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was soulful and peaceful. Was able to get in enough 'me' time. We spent 2 nights and 3 days at The Barnard’s Barnyard and had a fantastic time! Even though it rained during our stay, we still made the most of it—relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the spacious indoor setup, which can comfortably accommodate six people. The fishing was a nice surprise! We caught a couple of kurpers and carp, and despite our expectations, the dam’s water level was not too low for the fish. It was a great way to pass the time between rain showers. One thing to note is that the property runs on inverters, which meant a few limitations—WiFi was unavailable, warm water was only available until around 9 PM, and the fridge operated on a timer. While these weren’t deal breakers, we still enjoyed our stay!
