Description
The Dusi Canoe Marathon is Africa’s premier three-day, 120?km river race held every February between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, following the Msunduzi and Mgeni rivers. Featuring a mix of rapids and portages over three stages, the event attracts around 1,600–2,000 paddlers—from elite canoeists to recreational enthusiasts—and is celebrated for its demanding course, rich history since 1951, and strong community spirit.
