Super private, cosy, clean, stunning views! Spectacular view/location! The place was neat and tidy and contained most requirements for a weekend stay! The wind was relentless, which can be expected for this time of the year, but we could stay indoors with a cosy fire and beautiful views.

Incredible views, great location, great escape. Incredible location and really cool accommodation! Frans was so helpful and accommodating, and took us up to Glashuis in his 4x4 (definitely need a 4x4 to get from the farm to Glashuis!).

Phenomenal experience, view and accommodation. A few small things need attention. The location of Glashuis is phenomenal, the stars and view cannot be described with photos. We went in winter, the wind is strong and may bother some, but luckily we know wind so it was not a problem. Fireplace burned the whole time, we took enough wood and lightning. It is very remote so once you are at the top, it is a fair trek to get somewhere, so we enjoyed the solitude. Take enough provisions! Glashuis' ceiling needs some TLC. Bathroom is an experience but part of the adventure for us. Sleeping mattress can be looked at and maybe replaced. Bedding was neat and clean and enough warm blankets. Maybe a spare towel or two would be good. Would highly recommend for 4x4 vehicles only. We drove to the farmhouse with a normal car and in places it was difficult.

Safety was a concern, but enjoyable. The resident farmer met us upon arrival and was very friendly and helpful. The upkeep of the glasshouse is not up to standard due to lack of maintenance from the owner. The fireplace insulation was poor and we felt unsafe using the fireplace due to coals shooting back into the ceiling. The house was advertised with a telescope as Sutherland is renowned for star gazing; however, the telescope is broken. Overall, the experience of adventure was great and the kids enjoyed the stay; however, the safety of the house was a concern, especially a fire hazard.

Wonderful escape with stunning views of the valley below. What an incredible spot, you sit right on the border of the Western and Northern Cape at the edge of a cliff with beautiful views of the valley below. Frans was also very helpful, and the place had everything we needed.

Breathtaking Rygeveld. It's hard to describe in words how special this place is. The road from Sutherland to the farm is breathtakingly beautiful. The view of the Glass House, the unspoiled nature.
