Valley of Ironstone offers comfortable self-catering accommodation on a working cattle farm, located just 12.5 km from the historic town of Graaff-Reinet. It is an ideal choice for a peaceful farm stay while still enjoying convenient access to the town’s amenities.
Accommodation consists of three self-catering cottages: Ironstone Cottage, Wild Olive Cottage, and Sunbird Cottage.
Ironstone Cottage sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The cottage features Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fireplace in the sitting room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests also have access to a plunge pool, a braai area, and an outdoor fire pit.
Wild Olive Cottage accommodates two guests in one bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The cottage also includes air conditioning, a sitting room with a kitchen, a fireplace, a private pool, and Wi-Fi.
Sunbird Cottage is a one-bedroom unit with a double bed, an en-suite shower and toilet, a sitting room with a kitchen, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and an outdoor braai. It also features two terraces overlooking the garden. Please note that this cottage does not have a pool.
The farm is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hill walking, stargazing, bird watching, and photography. A map with walking and biking routes is provided.
Guests should note that a high-clearance or preferably 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended to access the farm.
Cell phone reception at the cottages is limited.
