Ultimate peace. Beautiful place, we wanted to hook the river to the car and take it home. Very peaceful, everything you need. Would like to see the place in the drier times, when the riverbed can be explored. Heather and her team put in so much effort without being in the way.

Significantly beyond expectations. Fantastic. The owner has been very deliberate in understating the location so as to not disappoint. It is difficult to do the view justice in pictures.

Relaxing. Lovely; little trouble with baboons and other pests, warm welcome and (most importantly) a cold pool that offered relief from the sweltering heat.

Blissful, relaxing, great host, beautiful surroundings. We spent a wonderful long weekend at Little Carthage and enjoyed our stay in every respect, especially lounging around the pool in the Lowveld heat. The view is fantastic, and there are pleasant hikes to be had. The accommodation is very comfortable with a real "bush vibe". Heather left no stone unturned to ensure that we were comfortable at all times. We will definitely return to this slice of paradise.
