House Rules

Karoo Rustigheid Gasteplaas accommodates 6 adults and 4 children.

Please note: Karoo Rustigheid is an off-the-grid, solar-powered guesthouse.

Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the property. It is a 24 km gravel road from the Calvinia road, northwest of Sutherland.

Guests are advised to enquire about the condition of the gravel road before arrival, as it may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

The rest of the road from Sutherland is tarred.

There is a gas stove and rechargeable lights available in case of load shedding, as well as a solar geyser.

Children are welcome to bring their bicycles and can ride safely around the farm.
There are walking trails and birdlife to enjoy at the large farm dam, where children can also play freely.
Please note that this is at the parents’ own risk and under their supervision.
