"Upington has some interesting bistros/restaurants which we discovered which are cosy (we are not into action holidays), and if you have accommodation on the river bank, then the experience of braaiing in the late afternoon is something special. There are areas just outside Upington like Kakamas which need to be explored and we will be doing that in the future. The town in general compared to some of the other small towns in SA is bustling and clean. "
