"Ons ervaring was dat twee dae in Clarens wat uiteet betref feitlik onbekostigbaar is. Ek besef dis die speelplek van die hoë inkomste groepe in ons land en dat ons "gewone outjies" nie veel seggenskap hieroor het nie. Ek besef ook kostes van voedsel het geweldig gestyg en Clarens sit baie uit die pad wat vervoerkostes van voedsel verder opstoot. Maar is daar 'n moontlikheid dat daar tog net gekyk word na dit?"

"Loadshedding en die gevolglike gebrek aan water in Clarens was kommerwekkend in 'n tyd waar die dorpies afhanklik van toerisme is. Yaroma het egter 'n watertenk en die watertekort het ons nie beïnvloed nie."

"Clarens surprised us with its beauty and the many things we could see and do there. The Golden Gate National park was a high point, my daughter did some horse riding. We enjoyed the town and all it has to offer, especially Highland Coffee where we had delicious coffee and croissants every morning after our walk with the dogs... beautiful walks through the forestry areas were fantastic for us and our two dogs. We had a magical holiday and will return soon! We did some fly fishing at the beautiful De Molen farm, which blew us away with its breathtaking surroundings. All in all an amazing stay."
