"A beautifully scenic, clean and well-maintained part of the country, with many hiking and biking trails. My 12y/o son and I tried out one of the mountain bike trails, however, it is very easy to lose the trail. There were markers on straight sections and almost immediately after there would be a fork without any marking. After the markers lead us from the forest trail onto a large dirt road, there were no more markers to take us back onto the trail. We ended up riding higher and higher into the mountains and through a very picturesque rural village. The locals were very friendly and a couple of local cyclists who rode past us informed us that we were not on the loop that we had thought and would have to return the way we had come to get back. We had expected a 4-hour cycle but ended up being out all day. Killer hills though."

"The Magoebaskloof area has very beautiful scenery - lush and green, mountain passes, and forest areas. Such a pity that the "tourist offerings" in farm stalls, restaurants on 2 working farms, etc. do not measure up to a true tourism experience. We were looking for a showcase of the area and what they offer, and whilst there is much to offer, the facilities fall very short in showcasing the products. Such a pity."
