"Been using Colesburg as a "stop over" for years, on our annual holidays in the Western Cape. The town itself is not great, but there are some really pleasant accommodation establishments. I was however disappointed at the poor level of service at the Shoprite. No social distancing and Covid-compliance. I had to request the cashier and a fellow shopper to please wear their masks over their mouth & nose!"
"We arrived early evening and left next morning. Did not explore Colesberg at all. We do love the guys at the N1 Caltex though! They are always super friendly!"
"When driving into Colesberg I was very sceptical about the town, but when you get past the "entrance" to the town and travel deeper into the town I was very pleasantly surprised. This town has wonderful hidden gems. Hidden in the little side streets are beautiful old houses, which are primarily used as B&B's. We had dinner at a wonderful family restaurant called the Plattelander. The service was spot on, and the food was great. I would recommend travelers to take the time to explore these beautiful old towns."
"Do not stay longer than an overnight stay to the Cape. This is what the town is good for."
"Van die besigheidsmense wat ons ontmoet het, is almal gasvry. Mense by die voertuighersteldienste was baie behulpsaam. Die restaurant waar ons aandete genuttig het, was gasvry en vriendelik."
"Ek is aangenaam verras oor die retourasie van ou geboue met ons stappie deur die dorp."
"Die dorp het baie uitgebrei wat positief is. Dit is perfek as jy afry Kaap toe en 'n rusplek soek. Baie netjies en skoon."
"Dis 'n pragtige,,stil plekkie. As jy opsoek is na 'n rustige afpak plekkie is Colesberg net die regte opsie. Jy gaan nie spyt wees nie."
"It is a great midway point to overnight between Cape Town and Gauteng. The Engen Centre on the N1 at the entrance to the town is a good place to refuel and get a bite to eat."
"Goeie plek om oor te slaap halfpad tussen die Kaap en Gauteng met baie blyplekke om van te kies."
